Synesios Filippidis. Bishop and Metropolitan of Thebes and Livadeia. Appointed caretaker of the Diocese of Chalkida-Karystia on October 5, 1921, and served in this capacity until December 1922. (In 1922, Karystia was separated from Chalkida, becoming an independent Metropolis with caretaker Metropolitan Hierotheos of Paronaxia, who served in this role until the end of 1922, when on December 24, 1922, Panteleimon Fostinis was ordained Metropolitan of Karystia.)
