The Camps of the Holy Metropolis of Chalkida have been operating since 2000, on a 45-acre coastal area, in the region "Taxiarchis Ilion" – between Rovies and Loutra Aidipsou – in Northern Euboea, which was donated to the Holy Metropolis by the Holy Monastery of Saint George Ilion.
To date, they have hosted more than 17,000 children from our Metropolitan region, children with special needs, young people undergoing rehabilitation from drugs, while a milestone in its operation was the hosting of the Orthodox Youth Festival, organized by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, which hosted 200 young people from around the world.
It is the plan of His Eminence, our Shepherd, Metropolitan of Chalkida, Mr. Chrysostomos, to operate the Camp year-round and to host Winter Gatherings, Conferences, etc.
The Camps provide our children and youth with quality entertainment, religious education, and patriotism, which are desired by families as well as many institutions responsible for shaping our young people.
